Kathmandu Chitwan Lumbini Pokhara Tour 9N 10D Itinerary

This Kathmandu Chitwan Lumbini Pokhara Tour 9N 10D is designed to cover the most popular touring cities in Nepal. This tour will take us to Kathmandu, Chitwan (Sauraha), Lumbini and Pokhara, the cities of their own significance culturally and of natural beauty. Our tour begins from Kathmandu sightseeing at the heritages and attractions. The tour continues the next day with a drive to Sauraha, Chitwan, where we will have some adventure in the jungles and wild lives. We will get closer to nature. From Sauraha, we will have a drive to Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha and get to know more about the enlightenment of Buddha. From Lumbini, we will head towards the land of lakes and caves- Pokhara, a beautiful place close to the Annapurnas and Mt. Fishtail and more. The tour concludes on the next day after return from Pokhara to Kathmandu.

  • Day 1 Arrival at Kathmandu.

    Upon arrival at the Kathmandu airport, complete the immigration and customs formalities. Our representative will be waiting for you outside the arrival terminal building. Meet and greet and get transferred to the hotel. There will be a small briefing about the trip in the evening.

  • Day 2 Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour. Optional Mountain Flight in the Morning.

    In the early morning today, if you have chosen for the mountain flight, you will be picked up from the hotel and dropped off at the domestic airport in Kathmandu for your 1 hour of beautiful mountain flight. After flight, you will be picked up from the airport and transferred to the hotel. But this is an optional tour.

    During the early day, we will start our tour guide to some of the most historical heritages and attractions in Kathmandu. The sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the famous 'Monkey Temple’ Swayambhunath and Buddhists shrine of Bouddhanath, one of the largest Stupas in the world. These are all of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites. Along the tour, we will get to know the medieval palaces in the sites, the historical cultures and the lifestyle of the ethnic people.

  • Day 3 Drive to Chitwan National Park from Kathmandu, 5/6 hours driving.

    After breakfast, today we will drive to Sauraha, Chitwan. We will be welcomed to the hotel with welcome drinks. Check-in and get refreshed. After lunch, we will explore and walk around through Tharu village, the habitant of an indigenous ethnic people in the Tarai region. Enjoy a sunset view at Rapti river and back to the hotel.

  • Day 4 Full-day Jungle Safari and nature tour in Chitwan National Park.

    Today, we will enjoy the elephant back safari to explore the nature in the jungle of National Park of Chitwan. The park is the home of one horn rhino, tigers, leopards, sloth bears, Gharials (endangered crocodile species), egrets, woodpeckers, deer, wild bison, genetic dolphin, over 500 birds species, butterflies, kingfishers with over 543 species of birds that include critically endangered Bengal florican, the vulnerable lesser adjutant, Grey-crowned Prinia and much more.

    Later after lunch, we will take an adventure through the Rapti river in Canoe, to get a better picture of the Gharials and the mud drenched sun basking crocodiles at the bank, beautiful aquatic lifeforms and birds hunting for food in the river.

    In the evening, we will have fun in the Tharu Cultural Show program.

  • Day 5 Drive Chitwan to Lumbini. 3-4 hours.

    After breakfast in Sauraha, we will drive have 3-4 hours towards Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha. After arrival, check-in at the hotel and get refreshed. Leisure time can be used strolling around the vicinity.

  • Day 6 Lumbini sightseeing.

    After breakfast, we will head for Lumbini sightseeing. We will visit various places like birthplace of Buddha, Asoka pillar nearby and the lake, Maya Devi Garden, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese temples and stupas, and much more. Lumbini is another world heritage site listed by UNESCO.

  • Day 7 Drive to Pokhara. 6-7 hours.


    After breakfast at the hotel, we will have 6-7 hours of drive to Pokhara, the city of beautiful lake and caves below the stunning Annapurna and Machhapuchhre mountains.

    Arrive at Pokhara and check-in at the hotel with some rest and refreshment. In the evening, we will walk around in the streets of Pokhara and beside a vibrant Phewa Lake.

  • Day 9 Drive to Kathmandu. 6-7 hours.

    After breakfast, we will drive back to Kathmandu which can take around 6-7 hours.

    Arrive in Kathmandu, check-in at the hotel and get refreshed with some rest. We can use evening leisure time for shopping souvenirs.

  • Day 10 Final Departure, Fly back to your country.

    Morning breakfast. Transfer to the Kathmandu airport depends upon the departure schedule, 3 hours earlier prior to flight time. We will drop you off at the airport and bid a farewell for your travel to the onward destination.
