The Tibet EBC (Everest Base Camp) Tour 8N 9D is a journey from Kathmandu via road to Tibet/Lhasa taking the travelers to the Everest Base Camp from the northern part of the Mt. Everest in Tibet. The travelers don’t have to bear a hard time trekking up to the base camp for days, rather a short hike from the northern base called Rongbuk will take us to the EBC and back within the daylight. This tour offers lifetime experience in just a single trip.

This Tibet EBC Tour is 8 Nights 9 Days tour program. The tour starts the next day of your arrival in Kathmandu, Nepal, with a drive from Kathmandu towards northwest crossing the Nepal-Tibet border at Rasuwagadhi (145km, 1850m) and reach Kerung/Kyirong at 2800m and the beautiful Friendship Highway along the southeast road of this great Tibetan Plateau. Our journey extends and passes through the place/towns such as Kerung (2800m), Old Tingri & New Tingri/Shegar (4300m) from where will drive through high altitude passes like Gyatso La (5200m) and Tsola (4500m). Ahead, we will follow the contiguous road towards Everest Base Camp, the road will take us to the north-side base of the Mt. Everest, at Rongbuk and visit Rongbuk Monastery (4980m), the highest monastery in the world also known as Dzarongpu or Dzarong, our hiking starts from there to the Everest Base Camp (5200m). After enjoying the stunning view of the Himalayan range from the base of Mt. Everest, we will return to Rongbuk and drive to Shigatse. A sightseeing visit to Tashilhumpu Monastery before Shigatse.

The further eastern drive will take us to Shigatse (4050m) for night halt and Gyantse (4000m) the next day. From Gyantse, we cross another 3 big mountain passes Simila, Karo La (the highest among these 3), Kampa La, and Yamdrok Lake (4441m)- the largest freshwater inland lake on the Northern Himalayan range stretching 130 km and widening 70 km. With a few night halts in between these places, we finally reach Lhasa (3650m) from Gyantse.

This beautiful extraordinary trip lets us the chance to relish the view of naturally beautiful picturesque landscapes, high-altitude rivers, temple, the highest monasteries, high passes, high-altitude lake, glacier, etc. in just one full trip. Further, in Lhasa, we will have another two days tour to the most popular ancient temples and monasteries like Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Bazar, Potala Palace, Drepung, Sera Monasteries, etc. Our English-spoken Tibetan tour guide and an experienced local driver will be assisting us for this Tibet EBC exploration journey.

Trip to Tibet EBC (Everest Base Camp) from Nepal is based on Drive-in Fly-out, means we will enter Lhasa, Tibet via a road trip and return via a flight from Lhasa. However, the trip can always be customized according to the requirements with addition or deduction of the tour days and also altering the mode of transportation as per your travel duration. The travel is possible throughout the year, however, the best time to travel is in April through October due to its pleasant weather for the trip.
